Hi there;

Is there a way to track how much a "click" costs when it comes to your website from another source (if you're paying for advertising).

I'd love to be able to see a running ROI of all the products that the customer has purchased in my funnels compared to the CPC.

Thanks a ton!

Years ago it was relatively easy to save a preferred Dashboard layout to all the sites under your account. There was an option to save the layout and update all the rest of the sites in the account.

I've never figured out if this is something you can still do with the new Dashboard method of working. I can see there's a save as default layout option, but not one to change all the rest of the sites in one go. Is there an easy way to do that without having to go into each account and change it manually?

Is there a feature implemented to send email or text alerts when a site goes down?

I have read where this was being considered and if it were to happen it would have been initiated by now (from what I read).

So questions is: "Does Clicky Analytics send an alert to notify if a site goes down?".

A few years ago I gave Clicky (known as GetClicky at the time) a try and loved it, but for whatever reason ended up switching away. Since then my site (http://www.unfinishedman.com) has grown tremendously and well, I'm back. I gave GA the boot earlier today, and was pleased to do so. Simply put, I've been less than thrilled with a certain dominating search engine as of late.

Just wanted to post to say what a great plugin and website Get Clicky is, my website www.vouchercornwall.com is new and therefore no traffic was coming to the site for a while.

But as the website got more know and I installed Get Clicky I was simply glued to the dashboard and especially the Spy function watching all these people visit my site.

My site is for Discount Codes in the UK and so people click on the outbound link and it shows all of this and the pinging of the bell was exciting as it would usually represent £'s!

Great work guys

We are planning to use clicky.log to track when users are clicking on certain links. It is not clear to me what 'href' is referred to in your API - is it the href of the url that we want to track from (so we have different urls for our test, stage and production environments,) how do we track that or is the href of the hostname we have put on our account preferences for Clicky account?

Here's what we would like to do:
1. be able to test the tracking in our QA, stage environments (which may have a different URL) before putting it on production.
2. We would like to be able to track users by the URL they are coming from - so if they login to our stage environment, we want to track that they came from stage vs if the come from our production environment, we want to track that they were coming from production.

Please let us know. we would like to get this tested asap.

Thank You!

I switch my card on file and am forced to pay double now?

I thought there must be some miscommunication and I re-emphasized that I simply had to switch my card on file. He explained it did not matter I would have to pay the new price.

I just read that on the GetClicky blog that the servers receive around 25,000 page-views per second.

It would be interesting to learn from you guys or to here from you guys what sort of hosting and structure you have in place - your mySQL information must be massive and I was just interested to know how you are doing it and how the system operate.

Clicky has grown huge since the time I heard about it - I was one of the first accounts back in the day and have had a few and cannot believe that is the feature your achieving you must be using heavy memcache and load balancers on slave and master mySQL dedicated servers.

Well the news has spread across all the webmaster boards, google is encrypting search results with SSL for anyone who uses google via signing in.

This will be a pretty large percentage of users, given that google has control over so many different sites that require you to be logged onto your google account.

Even as a webmaster who likes to search google without being logged in, I have to actively log out because I've had to log onto youtube to verify my age or post a comment.

Now the ordinary user who uses googles services like gmail, docs, youtube will not be as proactive as webmasters in logging out to see depersonalised SERPS.

This ovbiously is a blow to services like GC as it could force web masters to turn to GA to see full data.

Lately tineye.com took a bit of a hammering because google lauched it's own reverse image lookup service. Which may affect tineye a lot.

Are there any plans to get access to referring kw data from google or a workaround?

Also how much of the referring google search traffic is predicted to be unavailable to getclicky due to encyption?

When I look at the search analysis there are only two search terms so this is about 2% of the total searches. Obviously 100 people did not do image searches using only two specific queries.

Under what circumstances would Clicky not pick-up the search term that produced media traffic.

WooRank offers a "website SEO report" for visitors to my website, www.powersbydesign.com, but it only gives one option--basically when the visitor visits the site.

I like it but have noticed that no ones using it yet... I'd like to get something like this but in a sidebar form that the website visitor can fill out & get a free website report... I use Joomla CMS and haven't found one that does this for that. I also can't find any other website other than WooRank that offers an Seo Report for the visitors to our websites...

Any suggestions?

This is a general question as I am curious. My blog gets about 50 spam comments per day. They do not particularly bother me as ASKISMET seems to grab them and put them in the the spam folder. What I am curious about is how are these comments being entered in the first place as my Clicky stats show none of this traffic. Somehow it is getting auto posted without even coming to my site? Any ideas?

I have a Tumblr blog (jesslatta.tumblr.com) with the theme Revista (http://www.tumblr.com/theme/16073), and I've been trying to install a Analytic tracker on it for the past four days. I started out with Google Analytics, and I followed the FAQ on the Tumblr site (http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/google_analytics) and pasted it into my Info box. I waited 24hrs, but it did not show up. I did this three times, and they all did not work. I gave up on Google, deleted my code, and switched to Clicky. I inserted the code before the /body tab, and I waited. Clicky is counting views, but it's only counting MY VIEWS on my page (I know because before I had a simple web counter and I averaged 50 views a day), not anything else's. Can I please have some help with this? Why is it only tracking my views, and how can I change it to track other people's?

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with Clicky, or Roxr Software (the makers of Clicky)!

We have just released what originally started as an internal application to pull Clicky Analytics information down to your desktop as a product -- however, we really want to gather your thoughts on what would be an absolute killer desktop dashboard for your analytics before we start expanding the tool.

So, if anyone has 10 minutes, can I ask that you nip over to http://www.wildfiresoftware.co.uk/article.php?articleId=22 and download the trial and e-mail us your thoughts? :)

Note at present the app will only run on Microsoft Windows XP and above; although we are planning on support Linux and Mac shortly.

I am currently on the 10 site plan. I have way more than 10 sites, but I figure all I really want to use at this point is coincidentally, only 9 sites!

Will there be any conflict if I combine codes on one site?

EG. Site1, Site2,..... Site9 exist. What if I create Site10Alpha ??

It would be cool to put BOTH codes on every site .. Site1+Site10Alpha ... Site2+Site10Alpha .. Site3+Site10Alpha etc .. so I can get One complete picture of all my sites on one generalized graph!

I know when you add a new site it warns me to watch out if I exceed 500,000 daily page views and understand if all 9 sites exceed that limit it will be disqualified ... so here are my questions:

1) Does it matter if two different codes are on the same domain URL? or affect either code?

2) Will code placed on different domain URLs maintain its additive structure and truly combine all my stats into one generalized graph?

3) is there a better or different way to accomplish this?

//
Currently I am doing this with Sitemeter. I have a network wide code/button on every site and it combines all into one graph. But - it's a button in a widget or sidebar or footer - not script code in my header or footer like clicky.

Thanks in advance

I recently had my computer stolen, 1 program I really miss is one I can't remember it's name...
I would put in a 404 page not found url that was obviously a typo like Whiolash.html instead of Whiplash.html anyway, I'd run this program and it would tell me where or what place on the internet the link was.
Otherwise there's a google search does anyone know it?

Beta was just released.

My thoughts:
It sucks, pretty much, but that was what was expected, right? I'm an inexperienced developer and IE itself shows how I have no idea how to code a page for it.

For example:
I have a page that displays a menu and then an iframe... in Firefox/Chrome it works.

However, in Internet Explorer 9, it shows a blank page.

Though this is my problem, as an inexperienced developer, however, I believe that IE9 should load the page just like Firefox/Chrome would load the page. I shouldn't have to, like I already have, create a totally NEW page that caters to the IE user's need.

Should I just redirect IE users to download Chrome or Firefox?

Anyway,
Discuss.

I'm on Clicky throughout the day and have ClickyChrome right there in my browser all the time, how on earth could I miss such a spike? I'd know within a minute if something like this really happened.

Well, someone was using some code from a demo of mine on their homepage, and they had gotten some good press last week. They somehow managed to not realize they copied my Clicky and GA code as well, so all their traffic was reported in my GA account! Clicky however was not duped.

That gave me a good laugh :) So thanks Clicky, for only reporting my real traffic the whole time.

On maybe a dozen different occasions since using Clicky (had no web analytics before that) I've had repeated site visits linked to what I assume are automated programs. Usually they are to my homepage, usually they are for the miminum 10s; they have originated in Canada, the U.S., Russia, and most recently Germany. They may last for a few days or go on for weeks. The wildcard filter has been a considerable help in blocking some of these nuisance visits, since the final set in the IP string often changes. Recently I've been getting hit around 10 times daily by visits to my Contact page (!) from Bonn, Germany, and the last two IP sets keep changing, so the wildcard option has not helped. I've also begun to get nuisance visits via third-party intermediaries (about.com and facebook) which are impossible to block. What I'm wondering is, what can possibly be the motive of the parties behind this sort of thing? It certainly isn't the mischief of commercial competitors because my site is purely informational. Are they Clicky haters? :-) Any insight appreciated.
