Several dynamic goals on 1 page

Hi,

I try to log 2 goals on the same page but it doesn't seem to be working.
I first have

var clicky_custom = {};
clicky_custom.goal = { name: 'Commande payee - CB / Paypal', revenue: '100'};

and later in the code

 var clicky_custom = {};
 clicky_custom.goal = { name: 'Commande ancien client' };

but only the first goal is appearing in clicky.

Is it because we can not track more than 1 goal in 1 page ?
or something else ?

regards

Any thoughts on why t.co referrals aren't being captured?

This may not be the "best" way but it will work:

You'll need to setup a "Campaign" on the URLs used in the ads, then a "Goal" when someone completes a purchase of your product with revenue (if you don't have these already), then you'll be able to compare that X number of users came in via XYZ campaign and spent $x.xx while on the site. Then you can go back and find your CPC with your advertiser and get total ROI.

You can find more information on Goals and Campaigns under their respective headings in the reports or in Help.

Hi there;

Is there a way to track how much a "click" costs when it comes to your website from another source (if you're paying for advertising).

I'd love to be able to see a running ROI of all the products that the customer has purchased in my funnels compared to the CPC.

Thanks a ton!

Just yesterday I have started receiving the following message when I visit clicky.com:

If you are seeing this message, our style sheet has failed to load. Please try each of the following steps, in order, to fix it:

1) Clear your browser's cache and refresh the page.

2) Wait a few minutes, clear the cache again and refresh (one of our CDN servers may have had a short temporary outage).

3) Try accessing our site from another web browser on the same computer, AND from another computer on the same network. If either of those fixes it, you likely have software such as ad-block or Ghostery installed on the affected browser/computer. Please disable those to see if that fixes the issue.

4) Open a terminal window and type "ping cdn.staticstuff.net". Send us an email with the result.

I have tried each noted solution, but nothing has worked. When I ping cdn.staticstuff.net it just times out. When I try and directly access a file located at that address, again, it just times out, ie. https://cdn.staticstuff.net/inc/min/style221144.css

I can, however, access the Clicky Blog (http://clicky.com/blog/) which is not on SSL (not sure if that makes a difference).

Again, I have tried each of the suggested actions (even #3: access the site from another computer on the same network, etc).

Please advise.

I have never come across this before. Again, this just started happening May 17 in the late evening.

I would love it if Clicky offered a report or graph that tells me my top traffic source domains, without breaking them into categories. For example, a simple list version would be something like this:

Google: 30%
Facebook: 22%
SomeRandomSiteThatLinked: 15%
Pinterest: 19%
Other: 14%

And I could check from day to day for changing trends. A graph showing the top 5 over the last 28 days would work wonderfully.

Unless I'm missing it, there's no easy way to compile this info currently. AFAIK, you have to go to Traffic Sources, go into each category of traffic, and get the numbers from there... and then sometimes one source shows up in multiple places, so you have to add them together... it's time consuming to do on a daily basis. If anyone knows a simpler way, please let me know! In the meantime, I'm putting this out there as a feature request.

Hello,

since today, the visited URLs shown in clicky reports for the visited Content(either from dashboard or in the specific tab) are removing all php parameters...

Example: the page "http://www.bikingspots.ch/showtrack.php?ridename=Dor%E9naz-Portail%20de%20Fully-Saillon&rideaddress=Dor%E9naz&ridetype=Enduro", which was showing correctly yesterday, will now appear as "http://www.bikingspots.ch/showtrack.php", with no parameters, thus not allowing me to know which page has indeed been visited...

Any clues ? The website itself is working correctly, I made no changes on my clicky parameters and furthermore if I check my stats for the passed days, urls show up correctly...

Cheers !

Due to our CMS being the POS it is, when I do a filter search for content containing a specific part of a URL I am presented with numerous (usually 20+) results.

It would be nice if at the bottom (Or top) it automatically tallied up those numbers for me so I can see quickly how many visitors that area got without doing it manually. Unless there is a way to do this and I'm just not seeing it (Which is possible, we have no hot-water this morning, so no coffee!!!).

Each visitor can only have one campaign attached to them and static campaigns trump UTM campaigns, which is why they were not working.

I also discovered that these logged events show up under "Content -> Events".

Currently I am using type="click" (the default). What will happen if I use type="outbound"? Will these outbound clicks now be reported under "Links -> Outgoing"? Will there be double accounting?

Also, I know that the clicky JS must use a delay to register an event or outgoing click. If I use an event to capture an outgoing click will the latency be doubled? Or is there only one delay regardless of the number of events being triggered?

Finally, if the outgoing click opens a new window can I assume that there is zero delay in all cases?

I would like to track outbound clicks different sections of our site. The link is the same, but I would like to know where the click came from.

So let's say the outbound link is to http://apple.com. I was thinking about differentiating between outbound clicks to apple.com from different sections using the title parameter of clicky.log().

In section A of the site I plan to put this in the link:

onclick="clicky.log('http/:apple.com','From A');"

And in section B:

onclick="clicky.log('http/:apple.com','From B');"

Will I see different entries in the Clicky dashboard for "From A" and "From B"?

Also, will there be a third, separate entry for outbound clicks to apple.com that weren't tracked using clicky.log?

Finally, is this the right approach for what I'm trying to do, or is there an easier way?

Thanks,

Hi - thanks for your reply.

1) yes i set up the video on a different page with just the straight up vimeo embed code (with no Clicky vimeo video scripts) and it appeared and played fine on my mobile
2) yes i am getting Clicky visits recorded for this page - this is how i found out that the video wasnt working

i tried it on my iPhone and noticed that other Javascript i have on the same page IS working, but the video is not, so not sure it's that.

the only work around i came up with is to provide two different URLs - one for regular computers and one for mobile devices, but this is obviously not ideal

2 Q's:
- Does the video play without the Clicky Code?
- I assume you are getting Clicky visit analysis for the page, correct? That's how you're deducing you're missing these "views" of the video.

Something to keep in mind is that some mobile visitors have Javascript turned off and/or have video disabled so they may be hitting the page but their settings are keeping them from viewing said video or being tracked.

i set up a vimeo video on a web page with your tracking scripts and it is working perfectly for visitors and it is tracking perfectly in Clicky, but for mobile visitors, the video does not even appear on the web page for the visitor.

does clicky video tracking work on mobile devices? or am I doing something wrong in my implementation?

your help is much appreciated.

Reply to: Clicky is reporting a significantly lower number of visitors than other trackers

Apologies, if the question was not clear.
I have the following situation:

1st referring URL to my site: Clicky and Google Analytics report the same number
2nd referring URL to my site: Clicky reports 1/2 visits than Google Analytics
3rd referring URL to my site: Clicky reports 1/4 visits than Google Analytics
4th referring URL to my site: Clicky reports 1/4 visits than Google Analytics

The only reason why Clicky tracks less visits than GA is maybe because Clicky thinks the visits are bots or spam and do not count them. How can I solve this? I would like to avoid to use GA at all but I need to rely on teh tracking accuracy of Clicky.

Hope it's clearer and thanks for your help!

I saw these questions asked numerous times, but did not find a clear answer. My clients are all individually set up on Clicky and individual reports are drawn.

All clients are listed on a number of different third party directories; usually with an individual, identifiable one-pager. I want to track visitor’s interaction on these pages too and I can place the tracking code there.

Question 1: If I set them up as mirrors to the main website, can I use any parameter, name convention, goal, campaign or any combination to differentiate report or segment the interaction by mirror.

If no, then I need to set up individual codes for each of these sites (one-pagers) which would clutter my dashboard and brings me to

Question 2: how to I have to structure an API - e.g. the visitor list - to create reports per client for these multiple websites, download and save them with a filename as xml in one shoot.

Any help is much appreciated…
